inv5x. Up for auction is a wonderful oil on canvas painting, signed on back Still Life with Pineapple by Ruth Erb Hoffman. The listed Buffalo NY painter and sculptor was born in 1902 and is noted for her still lifes, many of which were done prior to 1950, as we understand it. This painting has a gallery tag with gallery marks from a Buffalo NY Art Gallery in 1984. We believe the piece is actually older than this, but are unsure of exact age. Great coloration, Gouache, giving it a demensional feel. It measures 24"w x 20"h and is ready for framing. Untouched, original condition. A wonderful find.
